IIAA
The Program
The program consists of twenty workshops, beginning with foundational artistic skills and progressing toward design, architecture, collaborative projects, and exhibitions.
Stage one — foundations
The first stage includes pencil drawing, watercolor, oil painting, pastel, Arabic calligraphy, arabesque and Islamic ornament, perspective drawing, SketchUp, Lumion, and Canva.
Stage two — the city as a classroom
The advanced stage takes students into nature, the city, and architectural sites. It includes outdoor drawing, architectural field trips, visits to mosques, gardens, and museums, and an introduction to heritage and preservation.
It also includes comparative architectural analysis, sustainable Islamic urbanism, collaborative design projects, competitions, and exhibitions.
The final project
The program concludes with a final project. The project then becomes an exhibition. At this stage, the student is no longer merely a learner — the student becomes a creator.
